The Caraway Foundation provides a variety of programs throughout the year. Each program relates to our mission of providing educational tools and health awareness resources to people in Anson County and surrounding areas. The programs that we offer are:
Anson Youth Leaders Academy
The program will concentrate on building personal leadership skills, philanthropic responsibility, and character traits indicative of community leaders. The Program will model the Anson Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Anson program that promotes learning about the local government, economic empowerment, leadership, inclusion, diversity and business protocol.
Male Mentoring Program
Mentoring young boys is what this program is all about. This program provides the opportunity for young boys to be mentored by men within the community that are in various industries, i.e. politics, education, business owners, retirees, etc. The program is comprised of educational field trips, speakers from the community, state-wide, industry specific, and lots of hands on projects. The mentors are from the community and are made up of a diverse group of men.
Refurbished Computers Award
If a household has at least one student between the third (3rd) - twelfth (12th) grades and does not have a working computer, they would be eligible for a refurbished computer. If the student is a graduating senior, then he or she can purchase a refurbished laptop computer.
