Small Business Grant Applications Now Open
THE DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 10/15/24.
The Caraway Foundation is pleased to administer a grant fund designed to support small businesses located in Anson County. Grant amount will be $2,500 per business.
Applications will be taken between September 6, 2024 through midnight October 15, 2024. Business owner will be notified of the outcome by October 31, 2024. Selected businesses will be required to sign a grant agreement with reporting requirements. In order to apply for the grant:
- The business must be located & operate in Anson County, NC.
- Applicants must be a viable business (defined as having identified a business organizational structure, have a Tax ID # (EIN or Social Security # (e.g., sole proprietorship), have made a sale(s) & have business expense(s)).
- Small business must have less than 50 employees.
- You must use the funds to modify equipment, modify physical space, improve an e-commerce site for online sales or expanding capacity for delivering goods and services. Expenditures may include furniture for expanded seating, renovations, accessibility compliance, as well as other equipment or tools needed to successfully grow the small business.
- Nonprofits are not eligible to apply.
- Payroll, rent and utilities are not eligible expenses.
Grant Timeline:
1. Applications are due by midnight on October 15, 2024.
2. Committee will review all applications and make grant selections by October 30, 2024.
3. Grant recipients will be announced by October 31, 2024.
A grant award celebration event will be held on November 14th, 2024, at The Caraway Business & Learning Center, located at 9162 US Hwy 52 North, Ansonville, NC at 4:00pm. All grant recipients will be notified prior to this date & are required to attend the event.
