When you are going through your fight with cancer and even post cancer, you may feel so alone. This feeling could be overwhelming and can leave you feeling depressed and unwanted……well, that’s how I felt and some days, still feel that way. So, I created this cruise as a way to bring SURVIVORS of ALL cancers together to CELEBRATE life, EMBRACE the support from others, and find ways to LIVE our best life through the at sea workshops. By being on a cruise with other SURVIVORS, Caregivers, Family, and Friends, it will create a bond that will last a lifetime.

Who Should Attend?

Any cancer SURVIVOR from the age of 16+ and older, Caregivers, family, and friends. Anyone that has been affected by cancer that is looking for an opportunity to escape and be around others dealing with their new “Normal”, should attend.

What is the Village of STRENGTH™ Summit?

The Village of STRENGTH™ Summit is a conference at sea. The Summit will provide inspiring and uplifting sessions that will empower our mind, body, and spirit. You will hear from speakers that understand what it means to fight for your life and how it feels to constantly think if the cancer will return. The Summit will consist of a general session and workshops for both SURVIVORS and CAREGIVERS. The workshops will tackle those negative thoughts and discuss ways to move beyond cancer by creating strong networks and a positive mindset.

What Cruise Line Will We Travel On and Where are We Going?

We will set sail on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Independence of the Seas. We will depart on October 31st from Fort Lauderdale, FL and will return on November 5th. Below you will find the itinerary for our Inaugural Village of STRENGTH™ SURVIVORship Cruise:

Saturday, October 31st         – Depart from Fort Lauderdale, FL

Sunday, November 1st          – Perfect Day CocoCay – Bahamas

Monday, November 2nd       – At Sea – SurvivorSHIP Summit

Tuesday, November 3rd        – Falmouth, Jamaica

Wednesday, November 4th  – At Sea – SurvivorSHIP Summit

Thursday, November 5th       – Arrive at Fort Lauderdale, FL

What is the Cost of the Cruise?

How Do I Secure My Participation?

In order to secure your participation, you must pay the non-refundable deposit of $105 or you can pay the full amount of the cruise during registration.

When Must the Final Payment Be Received?

You must have fully paid for the cruise by Tuesday, August 4th, 2020

Is There A Payment Plan Available?

YES!! Once you have made your non-refundable deposit of $105, Lifeline To Travel will forward your invoice with your balance within 5 business days. Once you receive your invoice, you may contact Lifeline To Travel to set up your payment plan. Please note that the cruise must be paid in full by Tuesday, August 4th, 2020.

Do I Need A Passport for The Cruise?

We highly recommend that you obtain a legal, U.S. Passport when traveling abroad. To apply for a U.S. Passport, visit the State Department website. U.S. Citizens may cruise using an official Birth Certificate and a supporting Government Issued Photo ID, like a driver’s license or an identity card. However, we highly recommend that all U.S. Citizens cruise with their U.S. Passport book that is valid at least 6 months after your cruise. Please note that hospital Birth Certificates (baby feet Birth Certificates) are not accepted.

Puerto Rican citizens should review their birth certificates and ensure they are up to date. Puerto Rican birth certificates issued prior to July 1, 2010, are not valid forms of proof of citizenship.  The Government of Puerto Rico has partnered with document provider VitalChek to provide an expedited method for ordering new birth certificates. To apply through this method please visit www.vitalchek.com. Vital Check also offers a bilingual call center available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Processing and shipping fees apply. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding their flight or ship or from entering a country and may be subject to fines. No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation.

Cancellation Policy

If your plans change and you must cancel the cruise, please note that the deposit is non-refundable; however, there is a penalty charge that the cruise line will assess. A penalty charge will apply to cruise fare, non-commission fare, air add-on, supplemental fare, cruise only transfers and pre and post-cruise packages, etc. where applicable. There is NO refund in the event of interruption or cancellation by guests after the start of the cruise. We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance for your airfare as the cost of the cruise includes travel insurance for the cruise ONLY.
