Anson Youth Leaders Academy (AYLA)

Who Should Apply?

The Anson Youth Leaders Academy program is for students currently enrolled in grades 7th – 8th by the 2024 – 2025 school year. Students should be at least 12 years of age and not exceed the age of fifteen at any point during the program.

Students should have a minimum grade of a C and must be in academic standing and have no attendance or disciplinary problems at school.

What is the purpose of the program?

The purpose of the Anson Youth Leaders Academy is to expose students to various cultures, civic engagements among the community and their peers, conflict resolution skills, volunteerism, and more. Through this program, students will gain a better understanding of their local and global community which will help them prepare for not only high school, but also everyday life.

They will have a better understanding of who they are, who they want to be, and how to prepare themselves to fulfill their goals

When does the program run?

The program will be on Saturdays beginning on September 2024 and will end in May 2025. The confirmed schedule and all final details will be given during the AYLA Orientation. The AYLA Orientation will take place on September 7th, 2024.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the parents/guardian to transport the student leaders(s) to each meeting.
