The Caraway Foundation receives $25,000 grant to assist small businesses
The Caraway Foundation is thrilled to announce it has received a grant for $25,000 from the Duke Energy Foundation to help empower small businesses in the Anson NC area.
The Caraway Foundation is seeking up to 10 businesses to apply for a microgrant up to $5,000.
Small businesses can use these microgrants for renovations, equipment, technology, inventory and other assets that will expand the business’s ability to attract customers, grow revenue and better serve their community.
The Duke Energy Foundation gives away over $30 million annually to strengthen and empower communities.
The Duke Energy Foundation powers community vitality through targeted philanthropy. It focuses on three core areas: stimulating vibrant economies, building climate resiliency, and advancing justice, equity, and inclusion.
The Caraway Foundation Director Angela Caraway said: “We are grateful to Duke Energy for the opportunity to help support small businesses in our community. We believe that empowering small businesses is a great way to help improve opportunities and expand the local economy.”
The Caraway Foundation is based in the small town of Ansonville, NC – just outside of Wadesboro. Angela Caraway also serves as the Mayor of Ansonville and has a passion to see the area thrive and grow economically.
